I’m Linda, and this is My Story
Traveler
I have not been everywhere, but it’s on my bucket list!
Hello fellow nomads! I am Linda and I have been an Occupational therapist for almost 30 years. I had decided several years ago to start my career as a traveling OT. I was fortunate to have a friend refer me to Centra and the most amazing recruiter, Kylie. Having a supportive company and experienced recruiter ensures steady work and low stress transitions. Taking that first step was the most difficult part, but I made the leap and have never looked back!
I am from North Olmsted, OH and am currently working in Coshocton and Zanesville Ohio. When I am working in a new area, I love heading out to explore and find the town’s hidden gems. I recently attended the Apple Churning Festival. I was treated to clog dancers, local artisans, apple butter, homemade fudge, and a welcoming charm of the locals.
When I work out of state, I have an agenda to spend each weekend in different towns or cities that are within driving distance from my contract location. One day I will be laying on an ocean beach with my feet in the sand, the next weekend I may be on a winery tour in the countryside, or in a city at a great restaurant and museum.
I have had placements all over Ohio, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Each and every town has something amazing to see and do.
Working for Centra gives me more control over my work conditions, time off, and hours per week. It also grants me the income to become debt free and have the finances for the “extras” in life. In addition, traveling gives me the opportunity to gain experience and hone my skills in a variety of treatment areas. I have become comfortable working in a variety of settings and my resume looks amazing! Thanks to Centra and Kylie, I am living my best life! If you are considering traveling, just do it! You won’t regret it.
