I’m Nicole, and this is My Story
Local Contractor
Hi! My name is Nicole and I am a wife, mother (of a 13 year old girl & 10 year old boy) & a Registered Nurse (of 10 years). In describing myself, I pride myself on being extremely passionate about helping individuals (whether it be professionally or personally) in a holistic manner which takes into consideration all aspects of an individual; psychological, physical, & spiritual needs. I have committed myself to caring for patients in various settings and believe everyone can improve themselves in every area of their lives; all they need is motivation, guidance, and preventative education. My strong desire in Primary Care led me to obtain my Master’s Degree with a specialization as an Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. This career path will serve as a major catalyst for me to help the healthcare profession and have an impact in promoting health & wellness.
I am currently assigned in a RN capacity working in the Gastroenterology Department at a fantastic Acute Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. My position consists of reaching out to patients to offer a less invasive alternative to a Colonoscopy; a FIT Kit. As the GI department finds itself completely overbooked and delayed on Colonoscopies for their patients, it is nice to offer a helping hand and alleviate the pressure of this kind of demand. I also find great pleasure speaking to the patient population of this hospital. Patients understand how important Colonoscopies are with their preventative health and usually follow through with every task given to the patient. Most importantly they show me how thankful and appreciative they are for my work through every interaction I make with them. This is what truly gives me the drive to come into work each and everyday. I am truly grateful to Centra for this placement as I have been introduced to the most wonderful colleagues and patients.
Thank you for this recognition. It is truly an honor.
Best,
Nicole – RN, BSN, MS, NP-C
